If you're unsure of where to start looking, here are some things to consider in buying the right paper towel dispenser.
1. What is the size of your washroom?
Is it located in a small private facility such as an office, or is it in a large area like a shopping centre? The size of the area your dispenser is being installed will determine which size models are suitable in terms of physical dimensions.
2. How many visitors does your washroom get?
Does your washroom have a continuous stream of visitors throughout the day, or does it have peak periods of heavy traffic? This is an important thing to ponder when choosing an appropriate dispenser in terms of capacity.
3. How often do you clean your washroom?
A dispenser should have enough paper so that it least equals the expected usage between refills.
If you can answer these questions, you're already halfway to purchasing an appropriate hygiene solution!
We have an excellent range of hand towel dispensers and paper towel holders including the Kimberly Clark and Tork range. Get them here!
Multifold paper towel dispensers are the ideal choice for washrooms with limited space and low traffic. They are unobtrusive as they sit very close to the wall. Paper towel is dispensed one sheet at at time, which can also help eliminate wastage, as users are not pulling at a continuous roll. When choosing a dispenser it is also important to think about the nature of the area it is being installed. If you're installing your dispenser in a private office or public facility like a doctors office, you're probably fine purchasing an product made with ABS plastic. If however, your dispenser will be in an environment like a nightclub, public toilet or school where it is likely to get vandalized, you may be better off purchasing something made with stainless steel or epoxy metal for extra strength and durability. Finally, we offer a range of different brands and styles to suit your decor. The Kimberly Clark and Tork products are by far the most popular dispensers in Australia.
Tork
Tork Interfold paper towel dispensers hold up to 600 towels and are ideal for small to medium washrooms.
The capacity level reduces servicing costs and the risk of run-out, whilst the viewing window shows when servicing is required. Usage cost is reduced as portions are controlled with only one towel dispensed at time.

Paper Roll Towel Dispensers
Roll towel dispensers are your middle of the range capacity dispensers.
Most rolls are about 80m long and are excellent for workshops and kitchens. Portion control can be a problem in public areas, so sensor and automatic cutoff solutions are available. These models are actually quite popular in upmarket facilities. As always, consider the nature of your traffic and purchase accordingly. Buy metal dispensers if there is a chance your dispensers will be abused and vandalized. All our roll towel dispensers are lockable, except for the Kimberly Clark model. Some people will prefer not to lock their dispenser with a key, as keys tend to get lost. The Kimberly Clark KC4941 has a button you can push down to release, and should you decide you do want to lock it, a padlock can be attached.
Centrefeed Dispensers
Centrefeed dispensers are large capacity dispensers prefect for large washrooms and high traffic areas. Centrefeed is the dispenser of choice for airports, shopping centres, busy kitchens etc, as it holds up to 300m of paper.
Centrefeed dispensers are much larger in size than the multifold and roll towel dispensers, so they're not really suited for small areas where space is at a premium. The paper towel pulls from the centre of the loaded roll (that's why it's called centrefeed!), and the beauty of having such a large roll is that you're not needing to replace them all the time!
